Why BulkStock™ exists

Stock discipline without forcing a 'big bang' TAS project.

Not every terminal is ready for a full TAS deployment. Many run on Excel spreadsheets, paper dip sheets, manual outturns, Word documents emailed between operations and finance, and ERPs that don't see the terminal floor for days at a time. The result: stock variance, slow reconciliation, missed excise deadlines, error-prone invoicing, and zero traceability. BulkStock™ is built for exactly this reality. It sits between the ERP and the field as an intermediate layer — handling stock, deliveries and reconciliation — and runs independently of full TAS / SCADA automation.

Where it fits

Between the ERP and the field — with room to grow.

Most African and MENA terminals are not fully automated. Many run on Excel spreadsheets, paper dip sheets, manual outturns, Word documents emailed between operations and finance, and ERPs that do not see the terminal floor for days at a time. BulkStock™ is built for exactly this reality.

Product scope

What BulkStock™ does.

Tank stock management

Level → volume conversion via calibration tables, 15 °C correction per API MPMS 11.1 and 12.1.1. One stock truth, not a spreadsheet.

Daily / weekly / monthly stock balance

Physical vs. accounted stock reconciled per shift. Variance trended over time. Excel and PDF reports for operations, finance and excise.

Deliveries module

Order capture, compartment quantities, meter reconciliation before/after loading, BOL printing, gate logging — one record per delivery.

ATEX tablet field entry

Real-time data entry from ATEX Zone 2/22 tablets at the gantry. No paper, no double-recording, no end-of-shift catch-up.

Multi-depot management

Stock and deliveries across several depots from one platform, with cross-depot movement tracking.

Global stock view

Multi-product, multi-depot stock visibility with forecasting for replenishment ordering.

Who BulkStock™ is for.

  • Terminals running on Excel + paper, looking for a credible first step toward digitalization.
  • Operators with multiple depots and no consolidated stock view.
  • Finance teams losing days on monthly close because operations data is fragmented.
  • Sites that need ATEX-rated field data entry but cannot justify a full SCADA project.
  • Operations managers preparing a phased TAS roadmap and wanting a stock backbone in place before TAS rollout.

Representative use case

A multi-depot operator running spreadsheets and email-based daily sales data was losing 2–3 days at every weekly close on stock balance and outturns. After BulkStock™ deployment with ATEX tablet entry at the gantry, daily close went to 30 minutes, weekly excise reporting was cut to a single afternoon, and stock variance was reconciled per shift instead of per month.
